Sino-German Creative Workshop|Teaching you to be a good photographer without P-image

In the afternoon of October 25, the 5th "Sino-German Creative Workshop" was held in Sino-German College. Stefan Volk, associate professor of the University of Applied Sciences for Design and Communication in Hamburg, gave a lecture entitled "Being a documentary photographer" to the students of the Sino-German College.

The professor first introduced the way of photography he loves: documentary photography, he likes to touch people's livelihood and real and natural things. All the photos do not need any post-touching, and the effect of different emotional tone is achieved by the constant adjustment of light and shadow changes.

The three small children in this photo are all volunteer firefighters. In Germany, the local children small will participate in firefighting activities, we are volunteer firefighters, neighbors to help each other, firefighters are not official positions, we go to help at all will not charge a fee.

To Stefan Volk, a good photo is a story

At first glance, this photo looks like a car driving, but in fact, this was originally a piece of the sea. In the winter the water is all frozen into a thick ice, it also becomes a road.

For professional photographers, taking pictures will not be because of a limited landscape, but always looking for interesting stories.

The name of this story is "Lena", and the woman in the picture is looking into the distance with melancholy eyes. According to Prof. Stefan Volk, their ancestors were Germans, but emigrated to another country three hundred years ago, after which Germany came out with a policy that enabled these people with Germanic blood to return to their homeland. Each of them moved with only a large plastic bag size, not knowing whether it was a longing for their homeland or a confusion about their future life.

Prof. Stefan Volk also told the audience that after many years of photography, his favorite thing is to find people who are willing to take pictures on the street and take pictures of them, because he thinks it is very real and he can feel the color of everyone's life in his works. He uses the most realistic angle to depict the life of the general public. He doesn't like to add filters or retouching, and prefers to keep the pictures as they are. It is true that truth is the way life and art should be.

Looking back on the year when I happened to have a camera, shoot some simple flowers and plants, the picture is meaningless but the colorful performance can give me the courage to take out and share with friends, get happy! And now, perhaps the technology and feeling have entered another stage, but discerning, like to think, to understand what they shoot, understand the content of the next step and how to express your content, and then all the other means are because of the content to become meaningful.

Today's foreign lecture was based on the theme of photos, which brought us an extraordinary visual enjoyment. Unlike the video of the last lecture, the photos were static, but they were more evocative and thought-provoking. The teacher used ordinary people's life photos as an example and made us think about the story behind this action and this expression.
