On September 6, 2019, at 2:00 pm, the meeting for parents of 2019 freshmen was held as scheduled in the academic lecture hall of Zhejiang Wanli College Qianhu Campus. Nearly 300 parents of new students attended this meeting, while the school leaders who visited this meeting were: Ding Yajun, Secretary of the Party General Branch of Sino-German College of Zhejiang Wanli College, Huang Heqing, Assistant Dean of Sino-German College, Li Qiuzheng, Secretary of School of Logistics and E-Commerce, Zhang Rong, Vice President of International College, Cai Yan, Assistant Minister of International Department, and Zhuang Jinxiong of School of Big Data and Information Engineering.
At the meeting, Secretary Ding Yajun made an opening speech first, warmly welcomed the arrival of the new students and parents of the class of 2019, and introduced to the new parents the ideas of the construction of Sino-German College as well as the college's major curriculum, course design, foreign partner universities, faculty, scholarships and hardware conditions.
Then Secretary Li Qiuzheng introduced the 2+2 Sino-foreign dual degree program to the parents present and emphasized the positive help and far-reaching influence of the 2+2 model on students' future study and employment.
In the interactive exchange session, parents actively asked questions and communicated their doubts and confusions with the teachers present at the first time. Ms. Zhang Rong and Ms. Cai Yan, in response to the parents' questions, gave detailed answers on the spot, and also got the parents' affirmation of the college and their hopes for the students' future. All the staffs of Sino-German College promised to do a good job in the teaching and management process in the future, to cooperate with home and school, and to strive to make the students high quality applied talents with international awareness and cross-cultural learning and working ability.
