In the afternoon of October 29, Germany, Zheng Jiejie, Deputy Secretary of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Ningbo Municipal Party Committee, who was visiting Germany, visited Zhejiang Wanli College Hamburg Campus and witnessed the opening of the new campus in Hamburg. Ningbo Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Secretary General Shi Huifang accompanied the visit.

During the inspection and research, Secretary Zheng Jiejie asked in detail about the teaching characteristics and operation mode of the Hamburg campus, and expressed his affirmation for Zhejiang Wanli College to open a campus in Hamburg. He pointed out that all industries need to be in line with international standards and we need to cultivate students with international vision, which is a brand new attempt. Secretary Zheng Jiejie also asked about the 2+2 undergraduate cooperation program of Sino-German School of Design and Communication and the future cooperation plan.

The event was attended by Academician Shan Fan, President of the German Brand University of Applied Sciences, Ms. Wang Wei, Deputy Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Hamburg, Bernd Müller, Vice President of the German Design Council, and Mr. Jürgen Hunke, President of Mikado.

Under the background of education internationalization and Sino-German all-round strategic partnership, Zhejiang Wanli College and German brand application university actively carry out inter-university cooperation, in line with the cooperation concept of "going out and bringing in", they have set up Sino-German Institute of Design and Communication in China and Zhejiang Wanli College Hamburg Campus in Germany, which is another brand new exploration after our university held This is another brand-new exploration in the cultivation of applied international talents and the going out of higher education after the University of Nottingham Ningbo, the first Sino-foreign cooperative institution in China.

In the future, the Sino-German School of Design and Communication and the Hamburg campus will focus on expanding cooperation with local German enterprises and industry associations, giving students the opportunity to enter German enterprises for internships or teaching in the form of project-based courses, exploring new models, building new bridges and opening up new paths in education and technology cooperation, industrial and economic and trade cooperation, the dissemination of Eastern culture and the sharing of Chinese experience between China and Germany.

In the first year since the opening of our college and Hamburg campus, a total of 180 Chinese students and 16 German students have completed their stage courses at the domestic and international campuses. In the future, the Hamburg Campus will cooperate with the German Rutgers Educational Consortium to introduce applied higher education resources such as the German Brand University of Applied Sciences, the Hamburg Logistics Academy, the Hamburg Fashion Design Academy, the Steenbais University Berlin and the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences.
Modular courses of different cycles related to industries such as port logistics, creative design, biomedicine, electronic information, software and emerging services are offered for Chinese students, and applied courses such as Chinese philosophy, sociology, management and aesthetics are offered for European students; all the above courses can be taken to obtain credits recognized by the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. At the same time, the campus will carry out research and academic exchange activities based on Wang Yangming's thought and culture; establish a network of cooperation between Chinese and German companies.

It is reported that Zhejiang Wanli College and the University of Applied Sciences for Design and Communication in Hamburg, Germany have launched cooperation since October 2015 to establish bases in China and Germany respectively on international cooperation projects. The Hamburg Campus is a professional overseas short-term study and practice program based in Hamburg, Germany, for our non-university students. The "2+2" cooperation program is based on the Sino-German School of Design and Communication of Zhejiang Wanli College, which is dedicated to training internationally competitive talents in brand design, brand communication, brand management, international economics and trade.
