This lecture gives a little insight into my studies on brands and myths. These are based on the wide-spread assumption that we relate to brands as if they had a human personality.
Looking at this from the perspective of cultural philosophy, this relationship can be described as being founded by mythical consciousness. Acknowledging this, it becomes clear why brands can offer "religion" (Entlastung) in an otherwise completely rational world.
