At 18:18 on the evening of December 30, 2020, the 2020 Annual Commendation Meeting and New Year's Party for 2021 opened on time. The party was hosted by Zhejiang Wanli College Sino-German College of Design and Communication. Vice President Qian Guoying and all the leaders, teachers and students of our college participated and watched the party together.
Vice President Qian Guoying offered a heartfelt speech at the beginning of the party. She believed that the Sino-German College, as an important window of international teaching in the university, had played a great influence in 2020; the Sino-German students were diligent and innovative in their studies. At the same time, she also expressed her earnest expectation for the development of the College in 2021, hoping that the students would strive to improve themselves and repay the careful cultivation of the College with excellent performance.
The first half of the party was the commendation session. The list of commendations was announced by the host of the party, and faculty leaders at all levels of our university were invited to personally present awards to the winning students and teachers. The winners of 33 awards, including Student Professional Mentorship Award, National Scholarship, School Scholarship, Top Ten Students, Excellent Dormitory Leader, Wanli Star, School Outstanding Student Cadre, Most Beautiful War Epidemic Volunteer, College Excellence Award, IELTS Style Award and Ningbo Scholarship for International Students, were announced at the conference and presented by the leaders of our university at all levels. Under the leadership of these "stars", the future of Zhongde College will be brighter.
In the second half of the evening, we officially entered the stage of cultural performance. The multi-talented Sino-German students showed their talents and created unforgettable memories on the night before the New Year's Eve. The opening street dance "gun shot" ignited the atmosphere of the audience; the submarine band formed by our students brought a song "New Boy" to show the beautiful music of youth; the drama "Stuttgart" conveyed the warmth of the town under the epidemic; Song Xinxin sang "white flag" to inspire the students to be strong and unyielding; and many other excellent programs received warm reactions from the audience. There were also many outstanding performances that received enthusiastic reactions from the audience, with youthfulness on stage and cheers on the stage, forming a sea of enthusiasm. The students of Zhongde expressed the praise of youth and the sentiment of the college with passion and love on this night.
The two-hour party came to an end with no regrets and reluctance. The party was a retrospective of the past difficult year and a prospect of the infinite possibilities of the future. In this party, students from all over China and abroad joined hands to create many wonderful moments, reflecting the unremitting efforts of our college in international exchange. The successful conclusion of this party is also the most sincere response that Sino-German College can give to all the students and teachers in 2020.
