Speaker ProfileZhang Mingyuan, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Doctor of Letters from Beijing Normal University, Honorary Doctor of Letters from St. Mary's University, Canada, is currently the Director of the Center for Research and Development of Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Director of the Institute of Traditional Culture Education, and the Director of the Lingnan Folklore Research Institute at Beijing Normal University. He was an associate professor of the Chinese Department of Renmin University of China, a visiting scholar at Ehime University, Tsukuba University, Tokyo Gakugei University and Kanagawa University, the Dean of the Faculty of Letters and Professor of the Chinese Department of Shue Yan University in Hong Kong, the Executive Deputy Chief Editor of the New Asia Publishing House in Hong Kong, the Secretary General of the New Asia Cultural Foundation in Hong Kong, and the Secretary General of the Hong Kong King Fan Education Foundation. His major books include The Yellow Civilization, The Curve of Chinese Life, and Reproductive Worship and Death Resistance, and his translations include Rituals and Songs in Ancient China. Among them, the book "Yellow Civilization" is listed in "The Essence of Chinese Academic Masterpieces in the 20th Century" (Xue Lin Publishing House).
