The 11th China Visualization and Visual Analytics Conference (ChinaVis 2024) was held in Hong Kong, China from July 22nd to 25th.Yifei Chen from Class 212 of Visual Communication Design 2+2 of Sino-German Branding Department, together with students from Xijiao Liverpool University and University of Nottingham Ningbo, formed an inter-university team to complete the work "Totem Speak - AI-driven Humanities Data Storytelling Music Interactive Performance", which won the second prize of Humanities Visualization Creative Track of the Data Visualization Competition. .During the conference, the team participated in the academic sessions at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for FastForward presentations, session reports and poster presentations.

The Data Visualization Competition held during the conference invites students and researchers from colleges and universities and scientific research institutes from all over the country to make creative designs and presentations by using visualization technology around specified themes and data sets. The second track of the competition - "Digital Mutual Appreciation" Humanities Visualization Creative Competition - takes "Mutual Appreciation of Civilizations" as its theme, and the contestants are required to create their works based on the sample datasets provided by the competition, showing the wonderful stories of the exchanges and integration of Chinese and foreign civilizations.

Through generative AI and somatosensory interaction technology, the work transforms static cultural relics data into multimodal visualization content, realizing a multifaceted interactive experience of cultural relics guided tours, cultural explorations and musical performances. Innovative display of heritage stories, immersive experience of the charm of Chinese culture.

"Participating in this year's Chinavis and winning the second prize is a very valuable practical experience for me.
