On the afternoon of November 27, 2018, the 5th General Assembly of the General Committee and Student Delegates of the College, jointly organized by the Sino-German College and the International College, was successfully held in the Library Lecture Hall.
The conference was attended by Ding Yajun, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the International College, Wu Zhangjian, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth League Committee, Zhang Ji, Secretary of the General Branch of the International College and Director of the Academic Affairs Center, Zhu Xiaoyi and Li Danwei, teachers of the Academic Affairs Center of the Sino-German College, Ping Jialing, Executive Chairman of the Student Union of the University, as well as Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and Presidents of the Student Union of each second-level college. More than 140 league members and student representatives from all grades of the college also attended the conference.
After the preparatory meeting at 1:30 p.m., the official meeting was opened with the solemn national anthem. Zhou Jialei, the president of the Student Union, gave an opening speech, expecting that this meeting could carry on the past and open up the future, based on a new starting point, and seek new development of the work of the league.
After that, Mr. Kuai Ye, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the College of Foreign Languages, and Mr. Ping Jia Ling, representative of the Student Union of the College, delivered congratulatory speeches to wish the successful holding of the conference. Mr. Wu Zhangjian, Deputy Secretary of the School Youth League Committee, gave a speech to congratulate the successful holding of the conference and affirmed the practical and innovative work of the Sino-German College.
Finally, Ding Yajun, secretary of the Party General Branch of the college, delivered a speech at the meeting, expressing his gratitude to all teachers and students of the college for the achievements made in the past year, and putting forward new hopes and requirements to the youth members of the college, wishing all students could keep pace with the times, take up the important responsibilities and write a new brilliant chapter for the reform and development of the college in the new historical journey. After the opening ceremony, the leaders and student representatives took a group photo.
The official meeting of the Student Congress of the Sino-German Academy and International College of Zhejiang Wanli College started at 2:00 pm.
Gu Xiaoxian, the deputy secretary of the General Branch of the Youth League, and Zhou Jialei, the president of the Student Union, made a work report to the General Assembly, reviewing and summarizing the development and achievements of the work of the Youth League and the Student Union in the 2017-2018 academic year, putting forward the goals of the future work of the Youth League and the Student Union, and deploying and looking forward to the future work.
Sixty candidates took the stage in turn to participate in the election. Our students reviewed their experiences and growth during this period, and also took the opportunity to express their gratitude to their seniors and sisters, reaping full of warmth. After the election speeches, all the delegates voted by secret ballot.
After all the delegates were elected by secret ballot in a fair, impartial and open manner, the official members of the General Committee of the Youth League and the Student Union were finalized and the appointment letters were issued to the student cadres of Grade 15, affirming their contributions to the development of the college in the past year. Gu Xiaoxian, the deputy secretary of the General Committee Branch, delivered the closing speech. With the loud and clear song of the league, the conference came to a successful end.
This conference is a report of the results of the real work of the Sino-German College, the responsibility and mission coexist, opportunities and challenges, and the spirit of the conference will be transformed into the motivation of the students to move forward without forgetting the original intention!
