Such a wonderful picture won the unanimous praise of the outside world, the provincial education department regulations director Ding Songquan and our vice president Ma Jianrong accompanied by the leadership of the Sino-German College of Design and Communication teachers and students visited the exhibition of the outstanding works of the group of freshmen students. Mr. Ding gave high recognition to the works of these freshmen "calves". President Ma thought that Sino-German College not only brought in the excellent teachers from the University of Brand Design and Applied Sciences in Hamburg, but also promoted the local culture, which is very worthy of recognition.
Mr. Gao Di, head of the Department of Visual Communication, introduced to Mr. Ding the model of Sino-German joint development of talent cultivation program, the seamless integration of the content of domestic basic teaching and German professional teaching in the 2+2 teaching process, and the way of cooperation between Chinese professional teachers and German teachers during the domestic study period.

The "Step-by-Step" Learning Method
And this semester, the learning module of the Modeling Language course for the Visual Communication majors of Grade 18 is divided into two main stages. In the first stage, Mr. Gao and Prof. Steffen from Germany co-taught design fundamentals, and in the second stage, Mr. Gao guided students to design for topic case applications.
However, the real implementation of "step-by-step" is not only input in the course, but also the daily sketches of the students of Sino-German Visual Communication in their freshman year. The most important thing is to build up a good art foundation. Of course, students without art foundation should not feel pressure, after all, the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, as long as you have a heart for art, nothing is impossible, such as the sketch of the following student who has no art foundation.
"Out of the box" learning method
Mr. Gao called on the students to actively participate in thinking about the proposition of the DGS in the later stage of the application design of the topic examples. Most of the works in this exhibition were designed according to the proposition of the 11th Contest. Students designed posters by using colored pencils, gouache, markers, or various collage materials, and returned to the real "hands-on" creation without electronic devices.
Although the students are only freshmen, the course arrangement of such content related to visual communication brand design can give us a direction for our college and allow us to grow more.
