EU RICH-Ed International Seminar on Intercultural Competence in Higher Education
As the lead institution of the EU RICH-Ed research project, our university will hold an international seminar and training on the RICH-Ed research project from March 31 to April 2, with the concept of "coupling and co-progress" and the core of intercultural competence development as the basic teaching. As the host institute of this conference, we will take this opportunity to promote the continuous development of teaching and research activities related to intercultural competence development.

RICH-Ed International Research Program
The RICH-Ed research project addresses the urgent need for cross-cultural learning in Chinese higher education, aiming to enhance the cross-cultural awareness perspective in the interactions of university undergraduates and others of diverse backgrounds in the workplace, and to provide support for Chinese universities to create learning environments that enable global engagement of students and staff alike.
Research content direction of RICH-Ed
Specific components of the RICH-Ed project include: development and testing of English language materials for intercultural teaching and learning for Chinese students and university staff; development and testing of Chinese language materials for intercultural learning resources; description of current status and stakeholder analysis of defined teaching methods (including learning outcomes); testing of adaptable learning materials and teacher training support tools for intercultural learning in English language courses; testing of adaptable learning materials and training support tools for administrators; training of teachers, students, and administrators with some intercultural communication skills;
To develop the practice of intercultural learning resources in relevant universities in Zhejiang Province and Heilongjiang Province, China; to develop the impact of intercultural learning resources in academia, publishing and media through ongoing research; to explore a non-essentialist approach to interculturality in the field of higher education; to enable users to benefit through the free promotion of learning materials and support tools upon completion of the project; to explore the value of project collaboration in China itself and The sustainability value of the project collaboration in China and among the Chinese student community in the EU.
RICH-Ed's research team
The core members of the RICH-Ed international research project team from eight domestic and foreign universities are all famous experts in the field of international and domestic intercultural communication, among which there are 12 foreign experts and more than 10 domestic experts in the team. As one of the participants of this research project, the cooperation with international famous universities and experts will help to improve the research level of our young faculty team, raise the international reputation of the university, and improve the international communication ability of students, so as to further promote the internationalization of the university.
