On May 19th, 2024, Zhejiang Wanli College Sino-German Branding Department Student Party Branch, together with the Department's Siyuan Society, successfully held an exchange activity in the classroom of Building 3, 3216, Zhejiang Wanli College. The theme of the activity was the in-depth study of party discipline regulations and the exchange of Marxist culture. Participants of the activity included party members and party activists of Sino-German Branding Department.
This activity has four agendas. The first item on the agenda was a detailed explanation of the newly revised regulations on party discipline by Li Danwei, secretary of the student party branch, and Zhang Ziyu, a student member of the party, respectively. Ms. Li Danwei introduced in detail the updates of the regulations in various levels such as political, organizational, integrity and other disciplinary aspects. Mr. Zhang Ziyu pointed out that the revision reflects the high standards and strict requirements of comprehensively governing the Party, aims to implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, and strengthens the discipline of the Party.
The second item on the agenda, Yifei Chen led us to review the movie salon activity "When Marx Meets Confucius" organized by Siyuan Club in March. Through watching the documentary and conducting discussions, the activity not only enhanced students' understanding of the basic theories of Marxism, but also invited party members from abroad to have discussions and exchanges, deepening their ideological and cultural cognition through an international perspective. Chen Yifei especially emphasized that this kind of activity is crucial to cultivate global vision and cross-cultural communication ability, and hoped that all students could gain something from the activity.
The third item on the agenda was the students' experience exchange session, in which the participating students expressed their profound feelings about the study of Party discipline. Through the in-depth study of the concept and discipline of the party, the students' political quality and party spirit have been significantly improved. In addition, students Chen Yuduo and Yan Qilu said that studying and learning in this way not only strengthened their ideals and beliefs, but also promoted the improvement of their thinking and working style.
In the last item of the activity, Ms. Li Danwei summarized and emphasized the leading role of student members in the work and daily life of the academic department, and introduced in detail the process and requirements for the development of party members. She encouraged everyone to actively participate in exchanges at home and abroad and to continuously improve their personal qualities with a view to meeting the higher standards of party members.
This activity was successfully concluded, in which students not only deepened their understanding of Party discipline, but also promoted the learning and practical application of basic Marxist theories. The Student Party Branch of Sino-German Branding Department and Siyuan Society will continue to make efforts to organize more such activities, promote the overall development of students, and make greater contributions to the Department and the Party's cause.
